Since our establishment in 1989, all ECOBAGS products have been made in socially responsible environments. Our CEO and Founder, Sharon Rowe, has developed lifelong relationships with our primary production partners through regular trips to India over the past 25+ years.

ECOBAGS became a certified B Corp in 2011. But what exactly is a B Corp? It's a business that prioritizes people, planet, and profit in all aspects of its operations. A B Corp understands that profit is important for the sustainability of the enterprise, but it does not sacrifice the natural or social environment to achieve it. It is a commitment to doing good and doing well for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.

Our products are made from 100% cotton, which means that they are biodegradable and can be industrial composted at the end of their life cycle.

ECOBAGS is a women-owned company and a certified B Corp. All of our organic goods are third-party certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and are also SA8000 certified, which ensures the protection of basic human rights for workers.
